Customs Terminal Orii

OBJECT

Customs terminal Orii provides services related to customs clearance of goods and vehicles, their storage and transportation.

TASKS

State Customs Service of Ukraine had developed requirements for surveillance and plate recognition systems at arrival points for the project that is aimed to control work of customs terminals on the territory of Ukraine. All customs terminals should comply with these requirements.

In accordance with the requirements, the system should be able to solve the following tasks:

• Automatic recognition of plate numbers vehicles with trailers (if exist);
• Automatic weighting of vehicles;
• Writing passes by established template;
• List creation of passes that were issued for vehicles that are currently on the territory of the terminal;
• List creation of passes that were issued in the specific period of time by arbitrary fields:
  • number of the checkpoint;
  • type of pass;
  • time of pass issuance;
  • time of pass expiration;
• Export of sampling in CSV, html, and pdf formats;
• Management of execution units;
• Remote work with statistics;
• Integration with “Tamojenniy inspector 2006” software.

RESULTS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION

To fully comply with requirements of the State Customs Service of Ukraine software was modified accordingly.

In particular, for the task of pass issuance, additional module Overseer Pass was developed for Overseer Parking System. In addition to pass issuance, this module captures front number of the vehicle and trailer (if such exists) to form one logical control object.

Moreover, integration of weights was carried out. It allows automatic storage in the database of vehicle’s weight mapped to its recognized plate number.

Implementation of Overseer Parking System with Overseer Pass module allowed automatic control of vehicles on the territory of customs terminal and transition of data into “Tamojenniy inspector 2006” software.

At present, total number of installations on such objects exceeds 30 in Ukraine.
